The world of football has seen some legends over the foregone century and new talents in the game have always got what they deserve – whether it be trophies, or fame, or money, or respect. Football fans have always been admirers of young talents and the present scenario offers players who might just be the best ever. So here is a list of players who might be the next big thing in the coming decade:

30. Lucas

CLUB: Sao Paulo

AGE: 19

VALUE: €17-25m

This Brazilian kid has interested the biggest spenders like Real Madrid and Chelsea but says he is well settled at the club right now. With not many games under his belt currently, he might still have to prove himself at the biggest stage.

29. Gaston Ramirez

CLUB: Bologna

AGE: 21

VALUE: €12-19m

This Uruguayan talent joined Bologna in the summer of 2010 for €2.5m and scored 4 goals in 25 appearances. He signed a contract extension upto 2016 last year, but Bologna might have to cash-in on him in this transfer market with many top English clubs hunting him.

28. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

CLUB: Arsenal

AGE: 18

VALUE: €15-22m

Alex “THE OX” Chamberlain, as he is popularly known was bought by Arsene Wenger last summer from Southampton and immediately broke into the first team with some eye-catching performances against Manchester United, and AC Milan in the Champions League. With Mr. Wenger not loosening his pockets as always, this kid might just have the opportunity to prove himself as one of the best in Europe.

CLUB: FC Porto

AGE: 20

VALUE: €10-18m

Danilo was bought by FC Porto in the summer of 2011 from his country club Santos for 13m but did not feature much with as low as 6 appearances in the league and without any goals. With an injury keeping him out of action for almost the whole of 2012, this player definitely will have to be consistent next season to catch the eyes of many top clubs.

26. Miralem Pjanic

CLUB: Roma

AGE: 21

VALUE: €12-18m

This Bosnian old-fashioned play-maker played three seasons with Lyon and scored more than 15 goals with as many assists which caught the eye of Italy’s Roma and joined them in August 2011. He played 16 times for Roma with a slight dip in his form due to lack of opportunities. He has also got 28 caps for his country Bosnia and Herzegovina.
