#2 James Garner

James Garner is a player who has captained Manchester United at every single age group. The 17-year-old midfielder has the leadership and character which is so rare and yet so needed to break in at this level.
Garner is comfortable at centre-back and also as a central defensive midfielder. I'm really excited to see what he can develop into with Michael Carrick giving a guiding hand. He was taken on United's pre-season tour back in the summer, which would have been a great learning experience for the young midfielder.
He has already been named on the substitute bench several times under Ole and he seems to be the next one to get debuted. Garner is a player who has a lot of potential to be a lynch-pin for whatever side he ends up in, and some have suggested that he's already better than Scott McTominay, who has been playing sporadically for United's first team in recent months.
