#3 Neymar
Not every top player has been able to mesh with Messi at Barcelona and there were certainly doubts about the same when Neymar arrived at the club in 2013.
However, the South American giants found their groove almost instantly, firing a litany of goals to share the burden and forging a deadly partnership.
In his four years at the club, Neymar scored 105 goals and made 76 assists in 186 games, propeling him to stardom, before PSG priced him away for a world-record fee.
Since then, his career has been marred by injuries and plenty of exit rumors, but when on song, there are few players who would want to go up against him.
#2 Andres Iniesta
Andres Iniesta's name is linked more with Xavi than Messi whenever there's talk about football's most iconic partnerships.
But there's no denying the Spaniard is among the most iconic players in history to play alongside Messi. In fact, they played 489 games together at Barcelona!
Iniesta was ever-present in midfield for more than a decade, pulling the strings as the side lifted titles after titles.
He knew Messi right from their days at La Masia, and their unspoken-of connection on the field was truly legendary.
#1 Luis Suarez
If there's one player who could stake a claim at being the best player in the world after the extra-terrestrial duo of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, it's Luis Suarez.
With 500+ career goals under his belt, the Uruguayan has been a top performer for every club he's played with, but enjoyed the most success alongside Messi at Barcelona.
He scored nearly 200 times and lifted 13 trophies, including the treble in 2015 Suarez helped the club pull off alongside Neymar and Messi.
The striker was offloaded to Atletico Madrid last year but Barcelona's loss turned out to be their gain as he fired them to league glory in the 2020/21 campaign.
