One of the greatest strikers of this generation, Didier Drogba beats Yaya Toure to the number one spot on this list. In July 2004, Drogba moved to Chelsea for a club-record £24 million fee, making him the most expensive Ivorian player in history. In his debut season, he helped the club win their first league title in 50 years, and a year later he won another Premier League title.

Although Frank Lampard or John Terry are widely considered to be the two greatest players in the history of Chelsea, Drogba's name is always right up there with the best of the best. He is to date the only African player to net over 100 goals in the Premier League, and he is one of the best big-game players in the history of English football.
