Gattuso has brought an improvement to this team.

At the start of the Europa League, this new AC Milan side were considered the favourites to win the competition. The money the club spent over the summer was just what the club needed to compete again both domestically and on the European stage, however that has not quite worked out for the Rossoneri.

Replacing Vincenzo Montella was exactly what the club needed during the first half of the season and replacing him with Gennaro Gatusso. The former Rangers player has certainly helped to steady the club without the team really playing to their full potential.

There is an array of talent within this team and Gattuso needs to work on getting the system, the selection and the direction right for the team.

Ten points off city rivals Inter Milan in fourth place in the Serie A, the Europa League gives the Rossoneri a competition to really try and thrive in this season. The return of European football will get the Milan fans excited and get behind the team, and knowing the quality they do have in this team, they can certainly give any of the teams left in the competition a very good game.

Leonardo Bonucci is right up there with the best central defenders in the world, and rest of the Milan players will be looking for his temperament and inspiration to guide them. With the quality of players such as Hakan Çalhanoğlu, former Liverpool man Suso and Ricardo Rodríguez, the Italians can play and compete against the top teams in Europe.

Winning the competition might be a long aim for this Milan team, but they have the quality and the players to make a good effort to go far in it. Ludogarets will prove a tricky tie for the San Siro club, win this and confidence will be high within the club.
