Before finally lifting the Copa America in 2021, Lionel Messi made it to the final of the prestigious cup competition twice - in 2015 and 2016. Messi scored another on October 8th, 2020, in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, helping his side to a much-needed 1-0 win. The Argentine captain’s final goal against Ecuador came in the Copa America 2021. His strike, which was the third goal of the night, allowed Argentina to bag a convincing 3-0 win.
