3. Yevhen Konoplyanka to Liverpool
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers had identified Dnipro midfielder Konoplyanka as a target for the Reds after the failed pursuit of Mohamed Salah who ultimately joined Chelsea but were left disappointed when the deal fell through.
Konoplyanka is an extremely talented midfielder known for his ability to dictate play and scored in 3 World Cup Qualifiers for Ukraine including a long range shot against England.
The 24-year-old agreed personal terms with Liverpool and had even had a medical with the club but the Dnipro owner refused to sign the paperwork that would allow Konoplyanka to join the Premier League club.
Liverpool, who are enjoying a strong season, may regret missing out on Yevhen in January as he would have helped them push for Champions League football next season.
