2. Miroslav Klose to Arsenal
Arsene Wenger attempted to bring Klose to the Emirates on loan from Lazio but the Italian club shot down the move.
Arsenal are in dire need of a striker to relieve pressure on Olivier Giroud and are currently facing a shortage in the attacking department due to the loss of Theo Walcott for the rest of the season through injury.
Klose, who shares the distinction of being Germany’s top scorer along with Gerd Muller, was keen to move to the London club and even spoke to his national team-mates Lukas Podolski and Per Mertersacker about a move to England.
The 35-year-old, who was the 2006 World Cups top scorer, would have been a great addition to the Gunners if he was allowed to leave but will now have to settle for plying his trade in Italy until the next transfer window.
