30-year-old veteran Indian goalkeeper, Subrata Pal has made 66 appearances for the national team during his 13-year career, having also played in the I-League since 2004 for Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Pune F.C., Prayag United and Rangdajied United till 2013.

In 2014, Pal moved to Denmark to join Vestsjælland for a year, although he didn't make any appearances for the team. Mumbai City signed the player in 2014 for the inaugural ISL season, after which he joined NorthEast United after two seasons in Mumbai.
