#2 Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Liverpool's Egyptian King won the hearts of millions in his debut season for the Merseyside Reds. He proved many pundits wrong who doubted his credibility in the Premier League citing his short and unsuccessful stint with Chelsea previously. He came from Roma for a €42m bargain price tag. He marked his return breaking records after records and rewriting the Premier League statistics.
The Egyptian, being the only winger in this list, scored 32 goals in the league making it an all-time record in the 38 game Premier League season. He ultimately scored 44 goals in all competitions which helped Liverpool reach the Champions League Final after 11 years. He also helped his nation progress to the World Cup Group Stages in Russia after a gap of 26 years. A shoulder injury in the UCL final showdown in Kiev ruined his fairy-tale season subsequently stripping him off any silverware.
However, he still managed to get 2 goals in the WC group stage after coming back from the injury. He'll be looking forward to being a vital part of the New Revolution taking place at Anfield under Jürgen Klopp. The Pharaoh will definitely try getting his hands on silverware and breaking more and more records the coming season.
