Despite being labelled as an individualist by many, Cristiano Ronaldo realises that even for winning individual accolades, the team must achieve glory by the end of the season. No matter how many goals one scores, not being able to win anything to show for it always hurts.

For Cristiano Ronaldo, the pain is unbearable. According to some of his closed ones, the Portuguese cried almost every time something never went in his way – especially when he lost. You could see the agony in his face as Barcelona scored through Lionel Messi. What further infuriated him was that nobody actually fouled the raging Sergi Roberto while the Spaniard was making a run toward’s Madrid’s goal.

In the end, however, Messi's goal changed nothing for Madrid as they went on to win the league and the Champions League by the end of the season.
