#3 Xabi Alonso
For a player that won everything in his illustrious career, it is very surprising that Xabi Alonso never got close to winning the Premier League title with Liverpool.
The Spaniard spent five years at Liverpool, winning the FA Cup and Champions League during his tenure at the club. Alonso struck up a great partnership with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano, but could not steer Liverpool to a Premier League title during his time there.
Alonso was a quintessential deep-lying playmaker with incredible passing range and shooting ability. He was also adept at set-pieces and perfectly complimented Liverpool's style of play under Rafael Benitez at the time.
His performances for Liverpool earned him a move to Real Madrid in 2009, where he went on to win the La Liga title as well as another Champions League crown. He then moved to German powerhouse Bayern Munich, where he won three Bundesliga titles before retiring in 2017.
#2 Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez established himself as one of the best strikers in world football during his time at Liverpool. However, he only managed to win the League Cup during his time there.
The Uruguayan was unstoppable for the Reds, winning the 2013-14 Premier League Player of the Season and Golden Boot, as well as the European Golden Shoe.
Suarez tormented Premier League defenses with his dribbling and shooting abilities, but his goals never translated into trophies during his time at Liverpool.
Suarez left the club in 2014 to join Barcelona, where he would win four La Liga titles and one Champions League title in his six years with the club.
#1 Steven Gerrard
Perhaps the most notable player to have never won the Premier League title, Steven Gerrard is widely known as one of the greatest players of all time. However, the midfielder never got his hands on the Premier League trophy throughout his legendary career.
The Englishman was a Liverpool youth product who went on to captain the club to an FA Cup and a UEFA Champions League title, starring in both finals. Gerrard was known for his leadership abilities as well as his dynamic performances from midfield.
The Englishman had great passing range and a penchant for scoring spectacular long-range efforts. Despite all these attributes, Gerrard never led Liverpool to the Premier League trophy, in what is the biggest travesty in the league's history.
