Going into the game against Manchester City in 2018, the visitors were yet to lose a game and on course for an invincible season. However, with the Liverpool front three all on top form, this run would soon come to a halt at Anfield. The Reds burst into a 4-1 lead in the second half to not only end Manchester City's unbeaten run but completely obliterate it.
City attempted to fight back with two goals of their own but it was too late for the visitors who had been exposed by Salah and co. Salah's goal and Liverpool's 4th ended up being the winner on the night. The goal came when a poor Ederson clearance found the feet of the Egyptian who found the back of the open net from distance with ease to put the Reds out of sight.
The game was the start of the rivalry we see today between Manchester City and Liverpool as the Reds staked their claim for the Premier League title for the next season by ending Manchester City's unbeaten run in stunning style.
