#2: First player to score in 16 consecutive seasons in the La Liga

Following an inury-ravaged start to the season which saw the Argentina captain miss the first 4 games of the 2019-20 Liga season, Lionel Messi scored in Barcelona's 4-0 home win over Sevilla to become the first player in the Spanish top-flight to score in 16 consecutive seasons.
Messi is the all-time top-scorer in the LaLiga, with 428 goals, and has been been the top-scorer of a LaLiga season on six occasions, which includes the last three seasons. The diminutive Argentine holds the record for most goals in a LaLiga season, when he scored 50 in the 2011-12 season.
#3: First player to score in 15 consecutive Champions League seasons

Messi became the first player to score in 15 consecutive seasons in the UEFA Champions League when the Barcelona captain opened the scoring for his club in a 2-1 win at Slavia Praha on Matchday 3.
His 114 goals in the competition is only behind Cristiano Ronaldo's tally of 127 goals, in the competition's list of all-time top-scorers.
