#2 Erling Braut Haaland (Red Bull Salzburg)
Erling Braut Haaland made history during the summer when he became the first player to score nine goals at a FIFA organised tournament, doing so in Norway's 12-0 victory over Honduras at the Under-20 World Cup in Poland and finished as the tournament's highest goalscorer despite Norway getting eliminated in the group stage.
For his efforts, he was transferred to serial Austrian champions RB Salzburg from Molde and he has continued his great run of form in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals and assisting six from just 12 matches to help Salzburg sit comfortably top of the league.
The 19-year-old has scored three hat-tricks domestically and is on his way to finishing as the highest goalscorer in the league barring any drastic injury or drop in form. But he is not a flat-track bully who only performs domestically.
Haaland is the son of Manchester City legend and former defender Alf-Inge Haaland and he had been earmarked as one of the teenagers to watch out for in the Champions League this season.
So far, he has not disappointed and Haaland sits top of the scorers' chart on the continent. He began his Champions League career with a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over Genk and scored in each of his subsequent three games to bring his total to seven goals from just four fixtures.
This season, Haaland has remarkably scored five hat-tricks in all competitions (and it is not even December yet) and at this rate, it won't be long before Europe's biggest clubs start knocking on Salzburg's door.
