#1 Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)
It can be argued that Robert Lewandowski has been the world's premier centre-forward over the last five years and the Polish international has the requisite stats to back this claim up.
With over 450 career goals scored, Lewandowski is one of the highest goalscorers of his generation and he is a regular fixture in Golden Boot races, with at least 40 goals scored in all competitions in each of the last four seasons consecutively.
Having lashed out last season over Bayern Munich's lack of ambition on the continent, the former Dortmund man faced criticisms but was handed a contract extension in August that will see him stay with the Bavarians until 2023.
Lewandowski has responded with unarguably his best run of form to date, scoring 23 goals and assisting three from just 18 matches in all competitions as Bayern Munich chase glory both at home and on the continent.
Incredibly, the 31-year-old has scored in each Bundesliga and Champions League fixture played this season, with his latest efforts coming in Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund where he scored a brace to sink his former side to a 4-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena.
