#3 The day when everyone believed (2014)
Two years before the comeback at Dortmund, Liverpool was looking incredible at the top of the table. They had a chance to take control of the title race with four games to go. All they had to do, was to beat Manchester City at Anfield. A mammoth task for sure.
Anfield was at it's best it had ever been for an afternoon game, as the match coincided with the week of the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. The game had an emotional edge to it, as Liverpool were desperate to beat City and seize control of their own destiny.
After goals from Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel had been cancelled out, up stepped Philippe Coutinho to rescue the Reds and become the Kop's new hero. His goal made it 3-2 to Liverpool, a scoreline that would stick. After the match, everybody started to believe.
It was emotional, especially with Steven Gerrard being overcome by it all. Finally, it seemed like the dream of lifting the Premier League with Liverpool would be fulfilled. As fantastic as that day was, the season ended in unfortunate circumstances.
It was still the greatest feeling Liverpool fans had felt for the entire decade, before 2019.
