While the incredible comeback against Barcelona was much more euphoric, the game against Tottenham was the culmination of everything that Jürgen Klopp had worked towards in the past four years. Liverpool defeated Spurs 2-0 to win their first trophy of the Klopp era, the UEFA Champions League.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi, at the start and end of the game respectively, won the cup for the Reds. Finally, after years of great games and real promise, Liverpool had something to show for the incredible progress they had made under Klopp.

The final may not have been the best game, but it ended the age-old question of What has he won? directed at the German time and time again. This was also Liverpool's first trophy in seven years, finally ending the Reds' trophy drought. This could very well end up being the first of many trophies that find their place in the Anfield trophy cabinet.

This victory, coupled with the famous semi-final victory, has given the entire club a new-found belief and confidence that will surely lead to many more titles in the coming seasons. While nights like Dortmund and Barcelona will never be forgotten, the real satisfaction comes from lifting the cup, which Jordan Henderson did with immense pride.

It is a blessing that the two greatest moments of Liverpool's decade came at the very end of it and now, there is only one way the Reds can improve from here. By winning that elusive Premier League title.
