#4 Callum Hudson-Odoi
One of the brightest prospects in the current Chelsea team is Callum Hodson-Odoi. The 19-year-old was the subject of a transfer tug-of-war last summer after attracting serious interest from Bayern Munich.
For a player whom the German giants were willing to pay £40 million for, it was expected that the 2019-20 season would be his breakout year. However, teenager is yet to really sparkle.
He has often displayed flashes of his brilliance but currently can’t even get into Frank Lampard’s starting line-up. There’s definitely still time for him to realise his full potential but, at the moment, he looks like an overrated footballer.
#3 Nicolas Pepe
When Nicolas Pepe joined Arsenal from Lille for a massive £72 million fee last summer, it was expected that he would lead the Gunners back to the glory days.
The Ivory Coast international has been on the scoresheet a couple of times but has generally been poor. A player brought in as the club’s most expensive signing certainly needs to be doing more than he is currently offering.
He has shown signs of improvement under the tutelage of Mikel Arteta but still has a long way to go to shake off the unwanted tag of being one of the most overrated players currently in the Premier League.
