#2: Clint Dempsey - 57 goals
Former Fulham and Tottenham goalscoring midfielder Clint Dempsey began his career in the MLS with New England Revolution back in 2004, spending three years there before opting for a switch abroad.
Fulham offered $4m in December 2006 - then the highest transfer fee offered for an MLS player - one which proved too much to ignore. During his five-year spell in west London, he was twice voted the club's player of the season and impressed enough to justify London rivals Tottenham spending £6.75m for him in 2012.
Despite this though, he failed to make a significant impact at Spurs and returned to the MLS, joining Seattle Sounders a season afterwards.
Despite spending a few months on-loan with former side Fulham, he still plies his trade at the club now. During his time in the Premier League, he scored 57 goals - making him the second highest North American goalscorer in history across the top-flight.
