#3 Gabriel Jesus – 44 games
Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City signed Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras in January 2017. The Brazilian was signed to serve as an understudy to Sergio Aguero, destined to take the mantle when the time came.
In that regard, Jesus has not exactly lived up to the billing, but he has not been a regrettable purchase either.
Since moving to the Etihad Stadium, Jesus has featured in 150 league games for the Citizens, scoring 52 times.
His goal tally may not be as impressive as you would expect, but he also heavily contributes to City’s build-up play. Most importantly, his goals tend to win Manchester City invaluable points.
Jesus has scored in 44 league games for Pep Guardiola’s side, all of which have ended favorably for City.
Out of the 44 games he’s scored in, 42 have ended in victories and two have been stalemates.
#2 Darius Vassell – 46 games
Former England international Darius Vassel plied his trade in the Premier League between 1998 and 2008. The forward spent eight seasons at Aston Villa before moving to Manchester City in 2005.
Vassell was a capable centre-forward who could play in almost any forward position. He was not freakishly quick, but he had a knack for popping up in the right areas at the right time.
Vassell featured in 265 English top-flight games in total, scoring 52 times.
As the stats suggest, he did not score too often, but his goals, whenever they came, bore rich dividends for his clubs.
Aston Villa were unbeaten in all 30 matches he scored in, winning 23 and drawing the remaining seven.
City, too, were on the receiving end of his magic, with them winning 13 of the 16 (three draws) matches he scored in.
#1 James Milner – 54 games
Sitting at the top with a considerable lead is Liverpool's central midfielder James Milner.
The Englishman has scored for five Premier League clubs in his career - Leeds United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Liverpool. He remains unbeaten in all the games he has scored in.
For Leeds, he scored in five games, winning four and drawing the other. Newcastle saw Milner net in six games, winning three and drawing just as many.
At Villa, the 36-year-old scored in 12 matches, winning 10 and drawing the other two. Manchester City won 12 of the 13 games he scored in, drawing the other.
His current club Liverpool have seen him score in 16 matches, 12 of which have ended in victories for the Reds.
A fascinating achievement for one of Premier League’s most loyal servants.
