#3 Cristiano Ronaldo - Manchester United

Manchester United v Villarreal CF: Group F - UEFA Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo cemented his Premier League return with a brace against Newcastle United on matchday four. He added another on the next matchday against West Ham United, but failed to do anything worthwhile in last weekend’s defeat to Aston Villa. The 36-year-old is far from the instigator he once was. He is now a finisher who thrives on quality passes.

This week, Ronaldo will take on a familiar foe, Everton - a team he has not been particularly impressive against. The tally of four goals in 11 matches is hardly impressive by Ronaldo’s sky-high standards, and he will be eager to improve upon it at Old Trafford at the weekend.

As a team, Manchester United are in desperate need of a leader, and Ronaldo is earmarked to be that man.

#2 Kevin De Bruyne - Manchester City

Manchester City maestro Kevin De Bruyne is arguably the best midfielder in the English Premier League. The Belgium international can pass better than most, score outrageously, and dictate the tempo of the play like no other. An ankle injury has hampered the flow of his game this season, but he is slowly coming back to his best.

De Bruyne put in a forgettable shift in the defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday. But that shouldn't be an excuse to count him out against Liverpool - an opponent he enjoys playing against.

So far he has pitched in with a goal and five assists in 11 Premier League matches against the Merseyside giants.

Pep Guardiola knows how important De Bruyne is to his system and is expected to start him at Anfield. Although the Belgian is yet to score or assist in the Premier League, he is still the biggest threat Liverpool will face this Sunday.

#1 Mohamed Salah - Liverpool

Since wearing the Liverpool jersey for the first time in 2017, Mohamed Salah has been a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League. The Egypt international has been Liverpool’s talisman for the last three seasons and has no intention of slowing down during the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.

Salah, who has five goals in six Premier League games, will have a crucial role to play in the clash against Manchester City on Sunday. He has the pace and movement to put pressure on City defenders and will fancy himself to hit the back of the net.

The right-winger has faced Manchester City 12 times in the Premier League so far, picking up six goals and two assists. Salah scored in both the home and away legs against Manchester City last season and we are not willing to bet against him this Sunday.
