Under Allardyce, Davies enjoyed his most promising spell as a top-flight striker, scoring numerous goals for the club in all competitions and becoming the captain and leader for Bolton. Davies spent 10 years at Bolton Wanderers before finishing off his career with Preston North End from 2013-15.
The striker was capped once for his country and remains one of the country's finest players to have not been capped more. A good technical player with great power and strength, Davies could do it all on the field and was a complete team player.
