Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Leicester City are the only teams to have won the league.

On an individual level, numerous players have made a significant impact on the league but none more so than these 5 players, who have also recorded the most number of wins as a player during their respective careers in the English top-flight.

Part of the Class of 92, that included the two Nevilles - Gary and Phil, David Beckham, Nicky Butt, and Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes forged one of the greatest teams in Europe.

The short midfielder made over 66 appearances for England and could have easily reached a 100 had he not retired years earlier from the national team setup. In 2014, Lampard moved to Manchester City for a season before he moved to the MLS and joined New York City FC for a season before retiring. He is also widely regarded as one the greatest Premier League midfielders and statistically, is the most prolific goalscoring midfielder.

With bags of big-game experience as a player, he was not the obvious choice but could prove to be a surprise for the country.

Qualification for the European Championships will be his first priority as the manager. Giggs inherits a strong Wales squad and is highly experienced at the highest level of the game.

During his career as a player, Giggs represented Manchester United for over 20 years, claiming every title in club football, and garnering experience most could only dream of.
