Jermain Defoe has not been any short of being one of the most consistent Premier League strikers during his stints at Tottenham, Portsmouth, Sunderland and currently Bournemouth.

But the English striker is yet to put his name on the score-sheet this season. An interesting piece of trivia is that Defoe was the only striker during the 2015/16 and 2016/17 campaigns to score more than 15 goals despite not being a part of any of the top 4 clubs in England.

With an overhaul to the Bournemouth squad this season, Defoe has not been favoured by manager Eddie Howe to start or for the matter of fact, even play consistently in the Premier League.

Defoe has only played 13 minutes and is still to start in the Premier League. Let's hope he comes back to life in front of the goal soon!
