By scoring a brace in Bayern's 6-0 win over Wolfsburg in a 2018-19 Bundesliga game, Lewandowski overtook Claudio Pizzarro to become the most prolific non-German scorer in German top-flight history.

In the process, the Poland striker moved to 197 Bundesliga goals (74 for Dortmund, 123 for Bayern) in 281 appearances for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
