#2. Romelu Lukaku
The current runner-up for the golden boot race in the Premier League takes the second spot in this list as well. Why Chelsea ever let a talented striker like him go still remains a mystery. The big man has been a success for every club he’s played at.
He arrived in London at the age of 18 from Anderlecht but was immediately loaned out to West Brom when they could not find a place for him in the first team. At West Brom, he bagged 17 goals in 35 appearances which is remarkable for a teenager.
It was the same problem next season as Lukaku failed to break into the first team and Everton decided to take him on a season-long loan. He managed a decent tally of 15 goals in his first season.
After the Merseysiders made his transfer permanent he fell slightly below expectations with only 10 goals. But he has been banging them in ever since and this season has been his best yet.
In only 24 appearances he has already scored 16 goals which is just 2 short of what he managed in the entirety of the last campaign. If he takes home the golden boot this year it won’t come as much of a surprise.
