Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder should not come as a surprise addition in our list, given that the player has been playing on the top level for the Spanish side for quite a while now, without getting the proper recognition he deserves.
Ben Yedder started his career in the fourth tier of French Football with UJA Alfortville before signing up for Ligue 1 side Toulouse in 2010.
It was with Les Pitchouns that he really made his mark. Following a slow start to his life at the club, he managed a two-digit goal-haul in each of his last four seasons at Stadium de Toulouse, overtaking Andre-Pierre Gignac as their greatest league scorer of the 21st century.
He joined his current side in 2016 and is currently on track to beat his personal best of 17 goals in a season he achieved with Toulouse in the 2015-16 season, with 16 goals and 6 assists to his name already.
He made his international debut for France in March last year but is still to feature in another game for the World Champions since then.
