The 24-year-old England international has managed to score seven goals so far, with a single assist to his name. There were some concerns about his form in recent weeks but Sterling continued his blistering start to the season with a hattrick against to silence his critics.

He also bagged a goal against Aston Villa in the league to add to his tally. The Englishman will play a key role in Manchester City's challenge for the league title. Liverpool dropped a couple of points against Manchester United at Old Trafford, though still have an advantage at the top after their comeback victories against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.
