Thomas Meunier had a fantastic 2018 FIFA World Cup. He was a very important part of the Belgium team and it was perhaps his absence in the semi final against France that hurt Belgium the most.
He had 6 attempts in the tournament, 3 of which were on target and scored 1 goal. He is a modern day Right back who mixes his defensive qualities with attacking instincts.
The Belgian full back has found the back of the net in every season since 2009/10. In the 2014/15 season, he struck 2 times, where as in the 2015/16 season, he scored 5 goals. He moved to PSG ahead of the 2016/17 season and finished his debut year at the Ligue 1 with 2 goals. Last season, he hit 5 again. Meunier’s assist tally is also quite good over the years.

Meunier generally scores with late runs to the penalty area, where his right foot is precise and effective. He loves running down the right flank and is always an option during the attack at the edge of the area.
This season, Meunier has 1 assist to his name so far, but is yet to find the back of the net. However, the Belgian can be trusted to keep his record intact by the end of the season.

Deepungsu holds a PG degree in Microbiology and an MBA degree in Total Quality Management. He has an extensive two-decade long writing experience, which includes a decade of sports blogging. His writing prowess has even led his work getting cited on the legendary Franz Beckenbauer's Wikipedia page.
Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
