#1 Ian Rush (Liverpool) - 25 goals
Former Welsh and Liverpool striker Ian Rush scored a staggering 25 goals in Merseyside derbies during his 15-year career with Liverpool, over two permanent spells and a loan stint at the club.
He started his career at Chester City in 1978 and moved to Liverpool before moving to Juventus for a year. Rush then rejoined Liverpool on loan for a year, before the deal was made permanent in 1988.
Rush spent eight more years at Liverpool till 1996 and scored a total of 346 goals and is the club's leading goal scorer of all time. One of the greatest strikers of his generation, Rush spent two more years in the English top-flight with Leeds and Newcastle United.
Rush tops the all-time list of top goal scorers in the Merseyside derby.
He retired after a 22-year professional career in 2000 after a short stint with Sydney Olympic.
Rush made over 70 appearances for Wales and notched 28 goals for his country.
