Goals Scored: 4
The Spanish striker scored just 3 goals from 17 games last season, as he recovered from a ruptured cruciate ligament that kept him out of action for the entire first half of the season. This season, Roger Marti already looks ready to make up for lost time and has already scored 4 goals from 6 appearances.
Marti scored his first goal in the 3-0 win over Real Betis in the first game of the season, lasting 74 minutes on the field. He played the entire 90 minutes of the loss to Celta de Vigo, but was unable to find the back of the net. He twice gave Levante the lead in the next game, against Valencia, but his side could only earn a point. He drew a blank against Espanyol the following match, but returned to scoring ways in the disappointing loss to Sevilla. He lasted 61 minutes in the game against Real Valladolid, unable to score as his side succumbed to their 4th loss of the season. Last weekend, he was one of the unused substitutes in the win over Alaves.
In the 2016/17 season, Marti scored 22 goals in 37 games in the second division and as such, knows his way to the goal well. This season, he is averaging 3.2 shots per game and Levante will be hoping the striker can stay fit and keep banging in the goals. At the start of October, Roger Marti is in 7th position in this list.

Deepungsu holds a PG degree in Microbiology and an MBA degree in Total Quality Management. He has an extensive two-decade long writing experience, which includes a decade of sports blogging. His writing prowess has even led his work getting cited on the legendary Franz Beckenbauer's Wikipedia page.
Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
