Martial has been used as an impact player by Mourinho

The winner of the 2015 Golden Boy award for the best under-21 player in Europe had thrilled Manchester United fans in his first season at the club.

However, he seemed to have lost his confidence under Jose Mourinho. After a forgettable second season at Manchester, Martial has gotten back to his best this season.

The Frenchman has been electrifying on the left wing and he's showing signs of the potential that he showed in his first season.

His lightning pace has provided something different to a Mourinho side that is devoid of pace and directness.

The 22-year old has contributed to nine goals and five assists in 26 appearances this season, a majority of which have come as a substitute.

He started the season on the bench and then came on to score crucial goals, like the lone goal that he scored against Spurs at Old Trafford. He has also scored a few delightful curlers from the left side of the pitch.

United fans will hope that Martial can continue his progress at United and can start to link up well with Sanchez.
