The Englishman's goalscoring form has taken a hit of late, but Sterling has managed to stay put in the 6th position. After scoring just one goal in December, he was expected to push on at the turn of the year and close the gap from the top.
However, even though he has contributed as a part of the team, Sterling has been poor in front of goal. He started the year by setting up Sane to score the winner against Liverpool, a game where he failed to score himself. In the following game against Wolves, he assisted Jesus to score the opening goal. City won the game 3-0, but Sterling failed to score again.

The Englishman finally found the back of the net in the game against Huddersfield, scoring his 10th goal of the season. However, he failed to score last weekend, as City were defeated by a resolute Newcastle side.
Sterling is averaging a goal every 175 minutes played so far and has scored 10 goals from 21 games in the Premier League. He has registered 29 shots so far, 22 of which have been on target.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
