The Brazilian has climbed up the charts from 10th at the start of December to 7th at the turn of the year, by virtue of a eventful month. He started the month with the 1-0 loss at the hands of bitter rivals Liverpool, where he failed to find the back of the net. However, Richarlison redeemed himself against Newcastle, scoring the equalizer in a 1-1 draw. He scored again in the next game, a 2-2 draw against Watford.

The games against Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester City saw him fail to find the back of the net, as Everton slumped to two back to back defeats. But Richarlison's goal drought was over in the very next game, when he came off the bench to score against Burnley. Last weekend, the Brazilian could not add to his tally as Everton lost 1-0 away to Brighton.
Richarlison has now scored 9 goals from 18 games in the Premier League this season, at an average of 0.47 goals per game. At the start of the new year, he is 7th in the race to the Premier League Golden Boot.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
