Following the poor performances in the goalkeeping department at Anfield last season, Liverpool spent big money over the summer to get Alisson from AS Roma. The Brazilian responded by earning 3 clean sheets in his first 3 games, against West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton. There was a time when it looked like Alisson would run away with the Golden Glove in his debut season, however, the Brazilian committed a silly error that led to a goal in the win against Leicester. In the next game, Tottenham also managed to put the ball past him into the net. Against Southampton though, Alisson earned his 4th clean sheet. Last weekend, Eden Hazard scored past him, but the Brazilian was instrumental in Liverpool finally earning a draw.
Alisson has made 16 saves so far this season and has also registered 4 sweeper clearances. However, he has committed that one error which has resulted in a goal. In spite of that the Brazilian has let in just 3 goals and has registered 4 clean sheets in 7 league appearances. As such, Alisson is the top contender for the Premier League Golden Glove at the start of October.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
