Top five overlooked attacking players in world football

It was really hard for me to shortlist just five talents from across all the leagues in football. These footballers surely need some attention since they are working really hard to survive in the world of football. There are so many talents from all over the world who get omitted from the best players list. So, here is a list of top five overlooked attacking talents in this ambitious football globe.

5. Ahmed Musa

Only a few football fans would be able to recognize this guy. Yes, this Nigerian forward named Ahmed Musa (age 19 years), plays for a Russian club CSKA Moskva. This striker has skills in plenty to damage the opposition defence. He was first observed by an agent of CSKA when he was already a star at Kano Pillars F.C, a Nigerian club. He was having an extraordinary season there, scoring 18 goals in just 25 matches. Later, he was transferred to CSKA Moskva for an undisclosed fee. He was also considered as a threat when playing in an UEFA round of sixteen match against Real Madrid this year. This striker surely deserves some spotlight in football world.

4. Shinji Okazaki

This Japanese striker has outstanding career statistics playing for his country. Few have heard his name, but this striker has the ability to blow away any defence. He has scored 28 goals in just 54 appearances for his country. He currently plays for Vfb Stuttgart, a Bundesliga club in Germany. Without a doubt, this player is phenomenal and definitely makes it into the list of top 5 over-looked attacking players.

3. Mohamed ‘Mémé’ Tchité

Mohamed’ Tchité is a Belgian-Burundian footballer who plays for Club Brugge and has the dexterity to compete with the other star attacking players. Wearing the No.7 kit, he has also got some CR7 touch in his foot, but he hasn’t yet come into media spotlight. He has transferred this year from Standard Liege to Club Brugge. He has surely got the potential to change the game with his amazing pace and skills. He had a magnificent season with his former club, scoring 23 goals in 52 appearances.

2. Fernando Llorente Torres

Fernando Llorente is also known as the Spanish Lion King. He has got some unbelievable skills in front of goal. But this Spaniard did not even appear once in this year’s Euros. His statistics show that he is a far better talent than Sevilla star Jesus Navas and other overrated flops. Llorente has scored 113 goals for his club Athletic Bilbao till date, but still remains a third choice striker for his national team, Spain.

1. Iker Muniain

A player of his caliber, with such fantastic pace and fabulous dribbling skills, can create magic at any point of time in the game of football. He was even baptized as “the Spanish Messi” by the media due to his style of play. This 19 year old plays for Athletic Bilbao and has netted 21 times, with 16 assists for his club so far. This left winger has made only one appearance for the Spain national squad so far. Iker Muniain is undoubtedly a rising football star.
