Manchester City went into this derby game at home knowing that a win over their fiercest rivals would clinch them the title with 6 games to spare. However, they were coming off a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Liverpool in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester City started the game in imposing fashion and went 2-0 up in the first half hour.
