#3 Atalanta (98 goals in 38 games)

Atalanta are one of Europe's most free scoring teams

The underdogs. Atalanta might not win any trophy this football season but they have won a lot of hearts. The Italian side have played some beautiful football this season and the goals have flowed.

Muriel, Ilicic and Cristian Zapata were the main scorers but actually everyone contributed in abundance. Captain Alejandro Gomez recorded 16 assists, the most in this season's Serie A. Atalanta looked well set to reach the 100-goal mark but faltered at the end.

#2 Bayern Munich (100 goals in 34 games)

Lewandowski enjoyed a record breaking season

100 goals in 34 games is just incredulous. But that is exactly the kind of football season Bayern had. Robert Lewandowski scored a whopping 34 goals in what was the best football season of his career. The likes of Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Philippe Coutinho and Leon Goretzka bagged some as well. Muller assisted 21 times, the most in a Bundesliga season ever.

#1 Manchester City (102 goals in 38 games)

Although Manchester City didn't have the greatest of football seasons, it doesn't seem to have affected their goal-scoring form. They managed to score 100+ goals for the second time in 3 seasons. Although inconsistent, when in form City regularly scored 4 or 5 past their opponents.

It was the first time that a team had 5 players with 10+ goals as all of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne got into double digits. This was aided by De Bruyne's creativity as he got 20 assists to accompany his 13 goals.
