So do we conclude the list with another Englishman? If you would agree with me, the next player on my list and perhaps the most underrated of all would be Manchester City’s hardworkingmidfielder James Milner.

Players of Milner’s breed are hard to find. They do their job, put tremendous shifts in week in and week out, score goals, provide assists, yet never complain of losing their starting eleven place the next week, thanks to a much bigger name. James Milner remains integral to City’s title aspirations, their charge in the second half of the campaign and most importantly for England come next year in the World Cup.
