Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo has denied recent reports claiming that he and his partner María Delgado divorced after a 12-year relationship. The Spaniard took to social media and made a post strongly dismissing the claim.
To put an end to the rumors, Vallejo shared pictures with his wife from his wedding at Catedral-basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Zaragoza with the caption:
"News published by Aimara G. Gil in the AS Newspaper that Maria and I broke up is TOTALLY FAKE. Maria and I have been in a relationship for 12 years and have always been together and still together today."
Jesus Vallejo signed for Real Madrid in 2015 but has been loaned to several clubs for the majority of his ongoing tenure at Los Blancos. He was first sent on loan to Segunda División club Real Zaragoza for a season, followed by Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt in 2016–2017 and Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2019–2020.
The 27-year-old center-back returned to La Liga on loan to Granada in 2020–2021. Due to suspensions and injuries, Vallejo started in Real Madrid's 4–0 home win over RCD Espanyol on April 30, 2022, as the club claimed their 35th league title, partnering Casemiro in central defense. He made eight appearances during the season.
On 15 July 2023, Jesus Vallejo returned to Granada on a season-long loan. He has been off the pitch since January 2024 and is not expected to return before the end of the ongoing campaign. He has made only three appearances this season and his contract with Real Madrid is valid till the summer of 2025.

After claiming the La Liga title for this season, Los Blancos will be facing Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final on June 1, 2024, at Wembley Stadium.
