Tottenham Hotspurs have reached an agreement over the signing of German prodigy Lewis Holtby from Schalke subject to a medical in the summer, the London club have confirmed.

Lewis Holtby is considered one of the hottest prospects in football at the moment and had been receiving a lot of attention due to his performances for Schalke this season. Holtby’s father is a Everton fan, and the German was widely expected to join Liverpool or Everton. The deal will come as welcome news to Spurs fans as the lack of creative midfielders in the squad was evident with only Moussa Dembele the recognised attacker in the middle.
