#3 HIT - Timo Werner (Chelsea)
It took some time, but Timo Werner finally got himself off the mark for Chelsea at Tottenham. It was a wonderful finish and Hugo Lloris had absolutely no chance in stopping the drilled shot.
Playing off the left, Werner had a crack at the defence whenever he had the ball. He found space time and time again and was a constant threat to the Tottenham backline.
There was a shift of domination in the second half and with that, Werner didn't really get into the game as much. But still, it was a solid performance and the German will be looking to add to his tally now.
#2 FLOP - Mason Mount (Chelsea)
A night to forget for Chelsea's academy star Mason Mount. While he was full of energy, Mount struggled throughout the game to create many chances. He had a couple of moments here and there, but really messed up when he had the chance to player Werner through on goal in the second half.
It went from bad to worse for Mount when he missed the fifth and final penalty in the shoot-out, sending Tottenham through.
#1 HIT - Erik Lamela (Tottenham)
Unlike Steven Bergwijn, his partner in crime for the night Erik Lamela had a wonderful game for Tottenham. He was the best player on the pitch. The Argentine was electric and led the charge, especially in the second half. He got the late equalizer and if anyone on that pitch deserved a goal, it was him.
Lamela also took a penalty in the shoot-out and buried it in without any hesitation. It was a top performance from the 28-year-old, something Mourinho would have loved given the fact that Heung-min Son is now out with injury for Tottenham.
