#4 Flop: Serge Aurier
The Ivorian struggled to make it to the first team at the start of the season but found a window of opportunity in the middle of this month. Serge Aurier started in both the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace and the 1-2 defeat at the hands of Leicester City, impressing from the right-back position. He was selected for the game against Southampton as well but ended up enduring a night to forget.
Aurier’s troubles started when he picked up his first booking in the 27th minute after a needless challenge. Four minutes later, the Ivorian was caught backtracking from a Southampton move and in a moment of madness, he committed another unforced error and picked up his second yellow of the game.
Tottenham had just secured their grip on the game when Aurier’s madness crippled Pochettino’s team. Thankfully though, Spurs still managed to win the game.
