Modric stays at Real
Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui is under quite a lot of pressure even before the start of the season. Things off the pitch haven’t been going smooth and Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure coupled with the recent Luka Modric exit rumours have given him sleepless nights.
The Madrid manager, however, claimed that Modric will be staying at the Bernabeu, "I think the president said it, I don't think there's much more to add," he told a news conference.
"He's made it concise and clear. Luka Modric is an extraordinary player and we're waiting for him with open arms
"I talked to Modric after the great World Cup that he had. We will see him when we get back on August 8 and we'll see if he is available on the 15th in our first key match."
Atletico Eyeing a move for Kalinic
Higuain’s arrival at Milan really could result in a transfer domino. Recent reports reveal that another Milan forward, Nikola Kalinic, could be on his way out.
Atletico Madrid are supposedly one of the suitors for the Croatian forward who’s World Cup ended in disgrace recently. He managed six goals for Milan last season and the Serie A side will be keen on striking him off their books.
