Five of his players turned on Carlo Ancelotti which led to his sacking
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed that Ancelotti's position at the club became "impossible" after five of his players turned on him. Hoeness told Westfalenpost, “There were five players against Ancelotti. It was impossible to get out of that.”
Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski are said to be a part of those five players with the troika going public with their displeasure in the Ancelotti reign. The Bavarians parted ways with Ancelotti yesterday after a 3-0 loss to PSG in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Julian Nagelsmann remains coy on Bayern links
It has been widely reported that Bayern Munich are looking to get Hoffenheim boss, Julian Nagelsmann to take over the reigns from Carlo Ancelotti. But the 30-year-old manager has rejected all those claims by revealing that he is just focused on his job with Hoffenheim and is concentrating on his side's next game against Freiburg.
