The Sun has claimed that Antonio Conte is a serious contender for taking over the reigns from Gian Piero Ventura for the Azzurri national team. Italy have struggled in their World Cup qualification and have just managed to reach the playoffs recently. The Italian FA want a good performance at the World Cup and think that they can exploit Conte's situation at Chelsea to prise him away from London. Conte has had problems with the Blues ownership and has talked about his intention to return to his homeland.
Manchester United want Danny Rose
The Red Devils are set to go back for one of their previous targets in the January transfer window. Talksport believes that Danny Rose is on Manchester United's radar and the Premier League giants are ready to make a move for the 27-year-old soon. Rose has been outspoken about his wage demands with Spurs which has ultimately triggered his exit rumours. He is currently injured and will return to action next month.

Andrea Pirlo coy on Chelsea links
Former Juventus and Italy midfielder, Andrea Pirlo recently announced that he will call it a day in 2018. He was quickly linked with Chelsea as an assistant manager to Antonio Conte. But talking to Corriere Dello Sport, Pirlo has revealed that he has not yet made up his mind over his future. He said, "An assistant to Conte? People are saying that. I have my ideas but I need time to decide. My future, I don’t know yet. But I will return to Italy in December.”
Faouzi Ghoulam agrees personal terms with Manchester City
The Algerian international and one of the best in his position in Serie A, Faouzi Ghoulam has today agreed on personal terms with Manchester City, the Sun understands. Ghoulam is expected to join Guardiola's side in January after rejecting to sign a contract extension this season with Napoli.
The left-back is in his final year of his current deal and will leave for as less as £3 million. Ghoulam is seen as a direct replacement for Benjamin Mendy who is a long-term absentee for the Citizens with a knee injury.

James Rodriguez wants a return to Real Madrid
According to Diario Gol, James Rodriguez wants a return to Real Madrid after witnessing a tough start to life at Bayern Munich. The sacking of Carlo Ancelotti has further damaged the player's morale who has already found it tough to acclimatise with the change in climate, language and training facilities.
Jupp Heynckes' appointment is 100% the right decision
Former Bayern Munich sporting director, Matthias Sammer is of the belief that Heynckes is the perfect man to lead Die Roten this season. Many had questioned Heynckes' age as a potential speed breaker for the Bavarians' progress but Sammer has denied all those claims.
Speaking of the 72-year-old, Sammer said, "The number of age is not related to his sense of life. It is a challenge. He looks young anyway. Jupp is an absolute professional, with quite a lot of experience. He has won twice the Champions League. He won the triple with Bayern in a big era."

FC Barcelona to activate Antoine Griezmann's release clause
FC Barcelona are reportedly looking to exploit a loophole in Griezmann's contract which has a €100 million release clause in it until July 1. The club hierarchy are set to do everything in their might to try and lure the Frenchman away from Madrid before next year's World Cup. Mundo Deportivo also reports that Barcelona must sign him before the mentioned date to sign him for €100 million because after July 1, Griezmann's release clause rockets up to €200 million until the end of his contract in 2023.
Arsenal eyeing a January move for Arda Turan
The Gunners are rumoured to be in talks with Arda Turan's agent over a potential move in the winter transfer period. Reports in Turkey have understood that Turan has gone badly out of favour with the Catalans which is evident by the fact that he is yet to play for them this season in 11 matches. But Arsenal will face competition from Galatasaray to sign the former Atletico midfielder.

PSG preparing a massive bid for David De Gea
Le10Sport has reported that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in David De Gea and are set to make a bid of around €100 million for the Spanish goalkeeper. It is said that the Parisians are not happy with their current custodian duo of Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola and want a big name to take over at the Parc Des Princes next season. If not De Gea, PSG will then move for Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak.
Wales players want Chris Coleman to continue
After Wales' 1-0 defeat to Northern Ireland dumped them out of the race to the World Cup, rumours were rife that manager Chris Coleman is set to resign from his post. But Sky Sports has reported that all the Wales players including Gareth Bale want Coleman to continue and has pleaded with the manager to stay. Coleman's contract expires this summer and there have been no talks scheduled for an extension.
