After failing to land his targets last summer, Antonio Conte is set to go all guns blazing in the January transfer market. A report in El Gol Digital claims that the Blues are preparing a €100 million bid for the Inter Milan hitman and are ready to trigger his release clause in January. Icardi has been in fine touch this season and has already scored 11 league goals this season.
Notching a goal every 97 minutes this season, Icardi might be on his way to London as Conte prepares to put together a stunning strike duo of Morata and Icardi at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham Hotspur eyeing Manuel Lanzini
The Daily Mirror has reported that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is monitoring the progress of Manuel Lanzini at West Ham United. The 24-year-old playmaker is one of the Hammers' best players and has garnered interest from a number of top English clubs. Pochettino is said to be a huge fan of the Argentine and may make a move next summer. Everton and Liverpool are also linked with the 24-year-old who joined West Ham in 2014 from Al Jazira.

Dries Mertens on Atletico Madrid's watchlist
Atletico Madrid are on the lookout for a striker next season with the futures of the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Yannick Carrasco and Kevin Gameiro still being unclear. The Colchoneros believe that Griezmann might be on his way to FC Barcelona or Manchester United and have hence contacted Napoli for the availability of Dries Mertens.
The 30-year-old has been one of Napoli's consistent performers with the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich keeping tabs on the striker. Atletico Madrid are ready to offer €30 million for the Belgian star who is under contract with the Colchoneros until 2020.
AS Roma target Aleix Vidal
The full-back who has failed to establish his place at FC Barcelona is nearing the end of his Catalan career. Football Whispers has revealed that AS Roma are eager to sign Vidal who is also ready to end his Barcelona nightmare. Vidal has not yet made a start this season after falling down the pecking order since the arrival of Nelson Semedo.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was offered to FC Barcelona
After the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain, many forwards were offered to FC Barcelona last summer. One of them was the Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mundo Deportivo understands. The Catalans had even scouted Aubameyang previously but decided not to pursue their interest with Luis Suarez present at the club.
Florian Kohfeldt to manage Werder Bremen until the end of the campaign
Sport Bild has reported that caretaker boss, Florian Kohfeldt will be given the permanent job to manage Werder Bremen at least until the end of the current season. It was earlier reported that Bremen were on the lookout for a new man in charge after sacking Alexander Nouri last month. But the owners have been impressed by the initial work done by Kohfeldt and believe that he can do the needful for the time being.

Real Madrid want Marquinhos
Los Blancos have faced defensive issues this season and have hence decided to sign a centre-back in January. Reports in Spain have linked the club with PSG's Marquinhos with Real Madrid rumoured to make a £71 million bid for the Brazilian defender. Club president Florentino Perez is said to be keen on landing Marquinhos after being disappointed by the performances of Sergio Ramos and the often injured Raphael Varane.
Lionel Messi demands a release clause in his new contract
In what is set to be a huge blow to FC Barcelona, Diario Gol reports that Lionel Messi has asked the club to include a release clause in his new deal. Messi's current deal expires in the summer and is ready to sign an extension but on the condition of having a realistic release clause. Such agreement will result in a number of clubs being enabled to sign the Argentinian superstar. Meanwhile, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has revealed that he dreams of a return to his boyhood club, Newell's Old Boys.

Philippe Coutinho does not want a move to PSG
The Daily Mail understands that Philippe Coutinho has asked Liverpool to reject any advances from Paris Saint-Germain as he does not intend to play in Ligue 1 at this stage of his career. Coutinho has been on the Parisians' radar after Neymar conveyed the club authorities of his wish of playing together with his compatriot. But it is claimed that Coutinho has made up his mind about joining FC Barcelona and will only leave Liverpool for the Catalans.
Sergio Aguero names his next destination
Manchester City's all-time highest goal scorer, Sergio Aguero has revealed that he will move back to Argentina once his contract runs out with the Premier League side. Aguero has a deal with City until 2019 which includes an option to extend the contract by a year. Aguero intends to join his former club, Independiente where he spent three years between 2003-06. The striker has previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid but will reject any such offer to return to his homeland.
