Paris Saint-Germain beat Manchester City to sign Dani Alves
PSG have beaten Manchester City to confirm the signing of former Barcelona superstar Dani Alves. The 34-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year-deal with the Ligue 1 giants despite being heavily linked with the Manchester outfit. The Brazilian agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Juventus only recently bringing an end to his one-year-long stint in Italy.
Monaco co-owner confident of Kylian Mbappe stay
AS Monaco co-owner, Prince Albert II, is confident that teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe will stay with the Stade Louis II outfit and renew his contract.
Speaking in an interview, he said: “I don’t think it will happen. There are ongoing discussions, which suggest to me that he will stay at Monaco next season.The discussions are regarding increasing his salary, but he and his father understand that it’s not in his interests to go to a big club, where he will not be a certain starter.”
Tianjin Quanjin sign Anthony Modeste
Tianjin Quanjin have announced the signing of FC Cologne striker Anthony Modeste. The 29-year-old is believed to be joining the Chinese Super League outfit on an initial €6m loan deal, with an obligation to buy him for €29m at the end of the loan deal. Tianjin were also reportedly monitoring the situation of Chelsea striker Diego Costa and Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
