Liverpool and Arsenal to go back for Thomas Lemar next summer
After AS Monaco chief, Vadim Vasilyev made it clear that he would not come in the way of his players wanting to leave, the Premier League giants are set to revive their interest in the French winger.
Lemar came close to a move to England last summer but could not complete a move to either Liverpool or Arsenal. Monaco are expected to demand at least £90 million for the 21-year-old who they signed for just £4 million in 2015.
Scotland appoint interim manager
After Gordon Strachan resigned after failing to guide Scotland into the World Cup playoffs, the Scottish FA has appointed Malky Mackay as an interim manager for the November 9 friendly against Netherlands.
The former Cardiff City manager has taken over from Strachan immediately but is not said to be a long-term fix for the Scots. Sky Sports reports that David Moyes and Sam Allardyce are in the running for a long-term job with the Scottish national team.
